Of all the Windows phones out there, the Vaio Phone Biz has been hailed as the sleekest ever despite the name not suggesting as much! If VAIO’s heritage as a maker of premium laptops is anything to go by, it looks like the former Sony brand wants to continue competing in the premium space, this time with the Windows range of phones.
One of the areas in which the VAIO Phone Biz scores big is in its aluminium body. Previously, some of the popular Windows phones like Lumia used a lot of plastic in their construction and with this, the VAIO Phone Biz sets itself apart. The build-in quality of the VAIO Phone Biz is another plus.
One of the key features of the VAIO Phone Biz is that it supports Microsoft Continuum, meaning that you can use a Windows-based laptop or desktop for display. That is if the 5.5-inch display the Phone Biz offers is not enough for some tasks. And, talking of the display, it’s full high-definition for a better viewing experience of your multimedia.
While the built-in internal storage is 16GB, you get the choice of adding another 64GB on the micro SD slot. Other features include LTE connectivity, Snapdragon 617 SoC, a battery of 2800mAh, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi ac and a 13-megapixel camera.
Some of the features the VAIO Phone Biz lacks that other phones in the premium space already have include USB-C ports and fingerprint sensors.
Just launched in February 2016, the VAIO Phone Biz will be ready for shipping by April and the SIM-version of the phone will start at slightly over $400.
While the VAIO Phone Biz will please not everyone, it might appeal to some business users. And, this being its initial Windows phone, if it continues improving, it will win
